The Visual Explanation of Sinus Disease on 3D Medical Scans research was presented at the annual #ASNR20 American Society of Neuroradiology Conference in June. Thanks to radiologists Dr. David Dunaway for presenting and K Elizabeth Hawk for co-authoring. ‍

The objective of this research was to demonstrate the ability to integrate recent advances in AI prediction visualization tools into a 3D medical image classifier (CNN-convolutional neural network) to enhance prediction explainability. Combining a 3D neural network with a novel 3D visualization tool provides new and expanded 3D prediction explainability functionality for medical practitioners.
