The InformAI team is pleased to announce that Dr. Rodrigo Zea-Vera is the recipient of the President’s Award for the best scientific abstract submitted by a resident or young investigator at The Society of Thoracic Surgeons 57th Annual Meeting: STS 2021. The award was presented to Dr. Zea-Vera on behalf of STS President, Dr. Joseph A. Dearani.
This year, STS was a fully virtual meeting designed for all members of the cardiothoracic surgery team, including experienced surgeon and allied health professionals. Dr. Zea-Vera presented the abstract titled " Artificial Intelligence Reliably Predicts Outcomes and Cost after Isolated Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting”. The STS noted that the abstract represents an outstanding scientific contribution, and congratulated Dr. Zea-Vera and colleagues for this very fine work.
